Garbage Gig @Taipei

終於看到Garbage（樂團介紹）了！雖然站在音控台前方的我，可以感受到可怕場地（世貿二館！）的強大回聲echo，不過老團就是強，才開場十分鐘，精湛實力完全掩蓋了場地瑕疵。

第一次聽Garbage ，是大學時。彼時什麼音樂都聽，也貪心地想什麼都聽到。於是只要聽到朋友推薦的、雜誌網路介紹的，都會上 AllMusic 找樂團四星以上專輯來啃。Garbage 就是這樣因緣際會撿到的。

我也永遠不會忘記，還在認同迷惘的年輕時刻，聽到Queer這首歌。在一種格格不入、莫名悲傷與憤怒的情緒中，聽到有一個人擁抱怪胎，以電子和狂爆直率的硬搖滾，透過極具穿透力的女聲聲線，毫不遲疑地把你安穩的包裹起來。而擁抱邊緣議題，擁抱各種異質，也一直是主唱Shirley Manson 為人津津樂道的反叛特質。

如今，闊別七年，Garbage推出全新專輯，也首度來台開唱。Shirley Manson在現場，好感性，講了好多，也邀請樂團團員一一上台說話。老實說，以樂團的實力，大可保持一種發片的流行度就好，但可以明確感受到，他們是很清楚、誠實地在面對自己的樂團，即便擁有全球銷量千萬張的紀錄，並未因此放棄、或被磨蝕對音樂和個性的堅持。

主唱提到，在台受訪時，有人問她對同志族群的看法，她說（大意）：Of course, I love gay. We (the band) all love gay. No matter you live in the box, or out of the box, or live in-between, we all love you. We may be not perfect people. But we are trying to be good person, be responsible to what we do. And that's it. 真的，就這麼簡單！以愛與良善為本質，所展現的包容與活力，即便創團近20年，身段依舊優雅詭麗堅實。

接著她獻唱了 Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go !)，送給LGBTQ的朋友們。

謝謝他們。即便自己多年後，才算對 Queer 有點感悟——作為變態變異的生命力，是活力多元而非邊緣性的自怨自哀。Queer 是打破秩序常規、創造創新的可能，於是為社會世界不斷拓展空間與自由疆域。
