路邊 (with You and I)

自捷運出站,上班人潮熙來攘往。
一名中年男子倒臥於和平東路邊的便利商店
旁邊擺著一小瓶米酒,身上蓋著一張報紙,動也不動。
經過的人們只是匆匆瞟上一眼
我經過、折回,對毫無起伏的身軀有點擔心
打了119。
警員要我先確認呼吸,還好有著微微溫暖鼻息
通報好地址,站在他身邊等。
之間無數的人經過,上班族、媽媽與小孩、妙齡女子、買報紙的老先生。
有兩位媽媽表示關心。
巡邏車經過,也因為旁邊有計程車擋住,
巡邏員警根本沒看到。
大約五分鐘,救護車和警察到了。
朝他們揮揮手、確認位置,簡單被詢問一下,
也就離開。
但願那男子只是醉酒於路邊,無大礙虛驚一場,
也幸好天氣不冷。
然而每個路過之人的冷漠注視,
實在令我覺得那些眼光像小針刺般難受……
也聽過很多人因為熱心報案,莫名其妙被牽扯
我想無人喜歡麻煩事上身。
但很多時候只要小小行動,把關心付諸實現
也許報紙新聞上那些貌似不可思議的、視線所及的、意外的生命殞落
能減少一些。
都說「為善不欲人知」,我卻覺得人與人之間的互助掛懷,
不用裱字剪綵的刻意宣揚,確有必要營造一種真實入底的社會氛圍,
即便那並非是有著強執力的制度,卻也能是形塑、改變社會結構的一種抽象要素。
當我們都能感受他人的善意、也能見到這樣動作的存在與日常,
我相信在自利的基礎上,更能以利他來利己。
